ABOUT

Takahiro Gamou / Travel Photographer
【Profile】
Takahiro Gamou (b. 1988) is a Japanese photographer based in Chiba. His journey into photography began in earnest in 2013, sparked by a desire to beautifully preserve the Nagasaki nightscape he encountered during his travels.
He soon found himself captivated by the landscape’s dual nature—its fleeting, momentary changes and its slow, profound transformations—a fascination he has pursued with both film and digital cameras.
This exploration shaped his artistic philosophy: a belief in photography’s unique power to focus on subtle changes, and a conviction that the fine art print is the ultimate embodiment of a photograph. As a self-taught artist, his creative process is centered on crafting works with the final print as the goal.
He continually broadens his visual language, integrating modern techniques like drone and time-lapse photography into his practice.
Currently, he travels across Japan, striving to create works that, through the narratives hidden within the scenery, offer viewers a catalyst for an inner dialogue.
